I did not have the pleasure of knowing K-9 Officer Jason Ellis personally. However, we worked for neighboring departments, only a couple of Police Academy Classes separated, graduated high schools the same year, and many other things in common. I still remember the night he was killed well. His funeral was the first of too many Officer funerals I have been to over the past 17+ years. It is so frustrating that his killer still has not been brought to justice. I just hold on to faith that one day...his killer will see justice from taking the life of a father...and a truly fine...outstanding Officer. May you R.I.P. Brother.
