Current Goal

8 Go-Karts and 1 odd car have been placed in Have Bug, Will Travel in Phoenix, AZ. Their objective is to make their way back to Mike's Midstate Movie Madness in Ashburnham, MA going from cache to cache in a travel bug race. There is one car for each Showcase Boy, plus one "odd" car for our odd friend "The Ugly Gothic Boy." You will be able to watch the race at The Showcase Boyz Page and here at geocaching.com. This is a joint effort by The Showcase Boyz and Team Rex.

About This Item

The Cars

Rules: We want a number of people to be able to participate in this race so we have set up some rules.

Please take only one bug. If your family or group searches for caches together please take only one bug for the entire group.

The Go-Karts should travel from cache to cache across the country and must make a minimum of 5 "pit stops" along the way. A "pit stop" for the purpose of this game is being left at a traditional cache by one geocacher and picked up by a different geocacher to continue the race. This means you can't move a bug from the start line to the finish line without making any "pit stops" and changing hands along the way.

We want to keep the bugs moving so it is ok to travel with a bug by land, sea, air or whatever means possible.

Please do not hold onto a bug for a long time. If you can't move it in a couple of weeks you probably shouldn't take it. If you have a good reason for holding onto it longer than that (for example you want to take it with you on vacation in a few weeks), let us know in your log or by email so we know it isn't lost. If you take a cart and then find for some unexpected reason you won't be able to move it please email us and we will be happy to help you find another player to hand it off to.

Please take photos of the karts and put them online or email them to us to add to the homepage.

Be creative - the better the story the more fun the race will be for everyone. Thanx and have fun!
