About This Item

Delicate Arch

We love visiting National Parks. Every
year we try to visit a new park. We have
been to every one in Utah and enjoy their
beauty. There is not enough time in a
lifetime to visit them all. Hopefully
DELICATE ARCH will travel to
many that we will miss.
We would love any pictures of the parks
on its travels.

Major Muggle situation! I parked on the street having missed the lot and walked out to the cache. Everything was going fine; I thought I had the area to myself. So I grab the cache (which was flooded by the way) and sign the log book which stayed dry inside its baggy. Suddenly two girls, only fifty feet away, get up! 😮

They had been sitting on a log completely hidden by the tall grass and brush and had been watching me the whole time. My cover was blown and they clearly saw the cache. I thought I better take all the bugs for security reasons, besides the travelers are completely and thoroughly drenched. I will dry them out.

The girls left while I returned the cache. I hope they will not come back and mess with it. I returned to my car and the next surprise came. Two monster dogs circled me and my vehicle. 😮 I had thoughts of the famous line by Norm from Cheers.
“It’s a dog eat dog world out there and I’m wearing Milkbone underwear.”

The owner came down to the street and assured me the massive canines wouldn’t make ranger pate of me. My brain was misfiring and I stated, “Oh they’re Marmadukes.”

As if that was a breed of dog. “Well same thing they are Great Dane’s,” the owner advised.

“I didn’t realize they were the same thing,” I replied still thinking Marmaduke was an actual breed of dog. It wasn’t later until after my head cleared I remembered Marmaduke is a specific name of a cartoon dog. “Idiot!” I announced to myself in my best Napoleon Dynamite voice. “Gosh!”

Anyway I’ll get these bugs dried off and back into caches as soon as I can.
