FTF!!! Woo Hoo. We just got a FTF and was wanting to make this our second for the day. The wife was reading the cache description while I was driving to the cache spot. They are doing lots of road construction in this area and there's lots of cones and barrels all over the place. I don't have time to drive around all these cones and stuff, there is a FTF to be had so we decided to take a small shortcut and go more direct to the cache site. After taking the small detour, I thought maybe it would have been better to stick to the main road and follow the cones and not go around them. Let's just say the Geo Van now has some new black tar racing strips. A word of wisdom to you all, if you see road construction with lots of orange barrels and shiny new pavement, ya....you might want to take it slow unless you want some black racing stipes on your ride. But anyways, we got to the cache site and I jumped out with the GPS in hand and was at the cache in no time at all. I opened up the cache, checked the log book and let out a WOO HOO!!! I quickly signed the log, grabbed the FTF prize and a travel bug and put in 3 bugs we had with us. I replaced the log inside the cache, rehid it and was walking out to the Geo Van when I noticed someone was talking to the wife. Oh no, is it the road construction police? Nope, turns out its the cache owner and they were here to help us with the first cache we had problems with. We talked with them for a few minutes and then headed back to "Not On The Cheap Side". FTF!!! Woo Hoo. I was sleeping in late today as I stayed up way too long last night/early this morning. I heard my phone make the "you have mail" alert several times but chose to ignore it as I have been getting a ton of spam emails and figured it was more of those. I finaly got out of bed and did the normaly morning routine. I finaly checked my email and CRAP! There's new caches up! The wife was still asleep as well so I yelled out for her to get out of bed cause we got a cache run to do. There were 4 new caches out and all fairly close to each other. As the wife was getting ready, I d-loaded all the coords into the GPS, gathered all the stuff needed for a FTF run and got dressed. The wife meet me at the Geo Van and we started on our way. We were on the interstate when the wife said she was hungry and wanted to stop and get something to eat. I just looked at her and gave her "that" look. She said "OK, after the FTF run then". We rocketed to the cache site and as we got close I noticed the business here and realized I was very thirsty and needed something bad but we had a cache to find first. I parked, got out and started the search. I had the cache in a couple seconds and gave it to the wife to sign and replace while I set up for the next cache down the road. The wife did her thing and jumped back inside the Geo Van and said "Hit it"!. This was our first FTF of the day. On to the second one.

FTF!!! Woo Hoo. This makes the third time I have been to this area in 2 days. The wife and I was going to pick up our youngest daughter who was at her sisters house. The wife called her and told her to be ready cause were going on a FTF run. As we topped the hill we see our daughter standing on the side of the road bent down like a track runner in the starting blocks. I slowed down to about 10 mph and opened the rear hatch on the Geo-Van. As we got close to my daughter she took off like an world class runner and jumped in the hatch, pulled the hatch closed and yelled "GO GO GO"! I nailed the gas and off we went. Once we hit the open interstate we had the factory speedometer pegged. Now the Geo-Van isn't as fast as the Mega Mustang, but the GPS said we were cruising around 125-130 mph or so depending on traffic. As we were rounding the last corner before the cache site the wife and daughter told me to stay in the van as they would jump out and make the score on this one. I was about midway over the bridge when both passenger doors opened up and my wife and daughter looked at each other and yelled "NOW, GO GO GO" and they jumped from the van. They both landed on their feet and made a dash for the cache. I guess it was good that I had slowed down to 30 mph before they jumped or they might have gotten hurt, but they know what they are doing. I went down to the red light, made a u-turn and by the time I got back to the bridge they were both standing by the road waiting for me to pick them up. I slowed down to about 10 mph to pick them up, I mean hey, it is a little harder jumping in a moving van than it is jumping out of one. When they got inside they gave me a high five and I knew we made the FTF score. Now to head back home and get ready for the camping/white water event this weekend. TFTC.

FTF Woo Hoo!!! This is the 6th FTF for the night, you got to love it when that happens. I was leaving the last cache site and came around the corner only to be stopped dead in my tracks by a tour bus sitting in the middle of the road. People were getting off the bus headed for the oriental food shop and they seemed to think that pedestrians walking to a restaurant has the right of way or something. I mean who cares if they were in a cross walk and the bus had flashing lights going off all over the place, I had a cache to get to. Come on! Man, how many people are on this bus? After about 2 minutes of sitting here I started to look around cause I know they have be going in the resaurants front door and quickly going out the back door and sneaking back on the bus just to get back off and slow me down some more. Finaly they all had passed in front of my car about 3 times, ya I know that's what they were doing cause I seen the guy with the saggy jeans and hat turned sideways walk by multiple time. I guess it could have been 3 different guys with saggy jeans and his hat turned sideways, but they all look alike to me anyway. Oh well, I was finaly at this cache site and no one was around. I did a fast cache retrieval, looked at the log, let out a WOO HOO and did the happy dance. Then I yelled in the direction of the tour bus and said "that's right, I can do the happy dance and my pants won't fall off, get a belt". I quickly signed the log and replaced the cache. Time to get back home and log some finds. TFTC's.....

FTF Woo Hoo!!! This is the 5th FTF of the night and despite being muddy and having a huge rip in my pants I was in a great mood. This find was a very short trip from the last cache I was at so I was here in a matter of minutes. I pulled up right next to the cache site and quickly had the cache in my hands. I opened cache container up and was looking around the area double checking for muggles when something bit me on the finger and I quickly jumped back expecting to see a spider or something. No, it wasn't a spider at all. Turns out the rubber band that was around the log broke and snapped my finger. I kind of laughed at myself for jumping, but no one seen it so it never happened right? Right. I opened the log and was meet with a clean log. WOO HOO!!! I started to do the MDC FTF Happy dance but quickly realized the modification to my pants from the last cache made doing the dance not so much of a good idea. SO, I just yelled to myself, signed the top spot, replaced the log inside the cache and replaced the cache where I found it. On to one more cache to see if this will be number 6 for the night. TFTC.
