This is a letter opener which is also a Peterson owl. It might be turned into a cache container someday - inspired by the CO of this geocache and many others have visited.

You can see the old sugar beet factory from this cache location. After I found the cache I popped into the Golden Door Geriatric Centre and had lunch with a resident who grew up on a farm near Plum Coulee and she said as a child growing up she helped harvest the sugar beets which were then trucked to this facility for processing. She also said she had 10 siblings.

This cache is on the Grant Avenue buffer which is a Manitoba Hydro right-of-way. I've been posted a photo of one of the towers.

Apparently this parking lot is also used to transact drug deals according to the note in the area. the building that I posted a photo of is under reconstruction. It was formerly Sears.

This cache is right by the southern entrance to the University of Manitoba on Kings Drive. The sign is blocking the view of what was the "Bathtub" -- Bison Gardens hockey arena which has long since been demolished. It was here in 1966 but the ice plant was moved over to the make the Fort Richmond community center an indoor rink FYI.
