I originated and stayed for many years in a casino on a state line. In fact the town is split in half, one half in one state, one half in another state . I want to travel to all of the towns/caches that occupy statelines (or some border). I want to visit, even if the city/town or geocache is close to, the border of a STATE LINE or COUNTRY LINE. IF THE GEOCACHE LOCATION IS CLOSE TO A STAELINE OR BORDER, LOG IN THIS LOG HOW FAR AWAY THE BORDER IS. At some point I would like to go home (possibly show a picture of my approximate home or of neat things around it, ie. the vast desert, the Army Air Corps Monument in town or the airport and the spot desribed below where the curvature of the earth can be seen).
As a kid I remember seeing the huge neon sign out in front of the Stateline Casino while travelling with my parents. It was the only lights for about 100 miles in either direction and was a huge cowboy with an articulated arm pointing to the casino.
An old Stateline Casino $1.00 chip. This chip is now worthless as the casino has been bought and no longer there. In the '40's the Army Air Corps trained for the atomic bomb drops. The B-29 crews (including the Enola Gay crew) that dropped the atomic bombs that ended WWII trained here.
