Frosty's seasonal mission is to be photographed in places with snow. :-)
Or, if he could meet up & be photographed with the other "Frosty the Florida Snowman II" trackable that would be great: TBAP1NE
Off-season, Frosty would just like to travel the world.
(Be sure to hide the tracking code when taking any pics).
Thanks!
(Please don't collect this trackable as that would take it out of circulation and spoil the fun).
Frosty the Florida Snowman is being released on December 1st, 2016, so that he can begin his journey during the holiday season. There's not much snow in Florida but it HAS happened now & then, believe it or not, most commonly in the northern portions of the state but actually reached as far south as St. Petersburg and the Tampa Bay area on Dec. 23-24, 1989, and prior to that, on Jan. 18-19, 1977.
"Frosty the Snowman" is a song written by Warner "Jack" Rollins and Steve Nelson and first released by Gene Autry in 1950, following his successful recording of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" the year prior. Over the years it has been covered by many other artists, including Nat King Cole, The Beach Boys, Ella Fitzgerald, George Strait, The Cocteau Twins, The Carpenters, The Jackson Five, Harry Connick, Jr., Kimberly Locke, Michael Bublé, and LeAnn Rimes. (My personal favorite, which I'm a little embarrassed to admit, is by The Partridge Family, due to its unique arrangement as a nostalgic ballad rather than the usual peppy, uptempo version).
The song also spawned spinoffs not only in book format but also in the form of several television specials, most notably the 1969 Rankin-Bass production featuring the voice of Jimmy Durante.
