Webfoot's Nametag

Well this was a very enjoyable way to start out a geocaching Saturday adventure. I got there a little bit early and made the executive decision that it was too cold outside to have an event, so inside I went and grabbed the large long table. Very soon after the start time, people started showing up and it looks like we had slightly over 20 people in attendance today, a very nice crowd.

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the event and I hope everyone had a successful day of caching. Looking forward, next month's event will be held on April Fool's Day.....or will it?

I got here a couple of minutes before 8 and was the first one here, so I decided to set up camp and wait for someone else to come along before I went inside and grabbed my breakfast and coffee. Once K6ccc showed up, then I went inside and the by the time I had my breakfast and coffee, bjkoi and VentureVal were also here and we had a good geocaching conversation going.

VentureVal and bjkoi hadn't found the cache in the parking lot, so they wandered over and when they seemed to be taking a little bit too long, I wandered over and helped them out on it. Then it was back to the patio for more geocaching conversations as huge sinker and eventually wraavr also came. We finally broke it up a little bit after 11. Was a nice way to spend a morning after having been cooped up inside for the past couple of weeks.

I got here a little bit before 8 and saw TheeDragon walking over to get another cache in the parking structure, so I knew I was in the right place. In fact, I ended up parking right next to his car in the parking lot. I wandered over, walked inside the coffee house and ordered breakfast and a cup of coffee, then wandered back outside onto the patio where TheeDragon was waiting. And before long, people were coming from all corners.

Lots of good conversations were had and around 10, everyone went their separate ways for the rest of the day.

I got here a little bit early and I saw TheeDragon following me into the parking lot, so after parking, we walked in together and weren't the first to arrive as Lamiekins and Clutch19 were already inside and had reserved the large table. Sweet.

Got to meet a newer cacher today and hopefully we didn't scare her off today. Lots of good geocaching talk was had and the event was cleared out pretty quickly once the new cache published in the parking lot at the end time of the event. Amazing how that happens.

Later on this week, the West End Geocachers are hosting their monthly Full Moon Rising event and then we'll do coffee again all over this upcoming Saturday morning in downtown Claremont.
