Goodbye CITO Nano Geocoin, it’s time to let you go. I’ve dropped you in a cache in Geelong overlooking the Barwon River and Kardinia Park, home of my Australian Rules Football team the Cats. They won the Premiership last year and tonight they would beat the Sydney Swans by almost 100 points. 😸
I thought it was about time I attended an Australian CITO - especially with you. It was at Rippleside Beach in Geelong. We collected a lot of rubbish. So many cigarette butts. People are so lazy. 🚮
A lunch date saw you in Altona, a suburb on Port Phillip Bay with a large beach. When the area was first settled, the town was named after the German town of Altona, now part of Hamburg. 🏖️
Into the city of Melbourne for you today. Melbourne is now officially Australia’s largest city with a population of nearly 5 million people. Found some caches and also saw celebrity gardener Costa Georgiadis give a talk when I walked through Federation Square. I just love being here soaking it all up. 🏙️
