ANC Pathfinders Geocoin

This special coin would like to travel from cache to cache and provide a message to all kids around the world about Pathfinders. Please keep it moving so that everyone can see this coin. The message it provides could mean eternity to the next cacher.

A close friend of ours, makes & sells geocoin. Since Geocaching is a Pathfinder Honor, a few months ago we started looking into what it would cost to make an All Nations Center Pathfinder geocoin. We toyed with a few designs, spending a couple weeks sending ideas back & forth and finally settled on one. However, when our friend sent us the figure of how much it would actually cost…the sticker shock forced us to put the idea on the back burner (way way way back).

Well, we were more then a little surprised when our friend decided to sponsor the coin himself. He generously accepted the financial risk and even provided a buy-1/donate-1 option that would allow people to buy two coins in order to donate one of them to our club.

Out of 350 coins, he has less then 50 left! Over 100 people chose the donate option!!! Each of our currently enrolled Pathfinders received their own coin (free of charge thanks to all those donations). We don’t know what’s more exciting…the fact that we have our own official Pathfinder Geocoin (with the Pathfinder Honor Patch on the back), the fact that our friend paid for it completely out of his own pocket, the fact that 250 total strangers wanted one, or the fact that 100 people were willing to participate in the buy-1/donate-1 option just to support our club. How cool is that?!?
