Centurion Marcus is on a mission to tour the entire Roman Empire! He is celebrating the Diamond Jubilee year of Epiacum Roman Fort in the Empire's far NW corner, the North Pennines of England, UK.

Epiacum Roman Fort was first excavated in 1957, and the archaeologists' findings meant that it was protected as a scheduled monument a few years later. 2017 is the Diamond Jubilee, and we're really celebrating because Epiacum Fort is a rare DIAMOND shape - most Roman forts are rectangular.
Marcus set off from Epiacum View cache in March 2017 and his mission is to explore caches across the rest of the Roman Empire. We'll be posting his progress on www.epiacumheritage.org, twitter and facebook throughout the year. We can't wait to see his adventures!
Centurion Marcus is an adapted Lego Minifigure, with a determined expression and a gladius to help him. He's been kraggled so hopefully will be robust enough to withstand the journey.
