Current Goal

Dora Diver was let loose in the geocaching world by two avid recreational scuba divers. Her first initiation into the water was being used as a dive toy by our kids in an Arizona swimming pool. Now she wants to do some real scuba diving!

Dora would like to be a member of as many scuba diving expeditions as possible, but in particular would like to go where her owners would long to dive:

  • somewhere in the Caribbean
  • in the Great Barrier Reef (see note)
  • the Red Sea
  • Note: We will be going to Australia in November. If Dora can make her way to Toronto at beginning of November (2005), we will take her to the Great Barrier Reef ourselves. Thanks!

Underwater pictures of Dora with a fish friend on these scuba diving expeditions would be great!

After her diving missions are complete, she would like to return to her owners' home city of Toronto, Canada.

  • About This Item

    Dora Diver

Dora Diver is a yellow/orange baby teething toy. She should be quite happy (and indestructible) in deep, sea-water dives.

Dora accompanied us to CoCo View Resort on the Island of Roatan in the Western Caribbean Sea. Dora had a great time. In fact, she had so much fun, she broke her chain on one dive and has elected to remain in the Caribbean for the rest of her life. We'll miss Dora but we'll also remember the great times. See the final photos of Dora's adventures.

    • Dora explores a Caribbean reef Dora likes to look for new dive buddies and decides to explore the reef near CoCo View resort in Roatan.
    • Dora meets a Scorpionfish Dora found a Scorpionfish on a reef off CoCo View Resort in Roatan. Dora might look like dinner to the Scorpionfish so she better not get too close!!
    • Dora checks into CoCo View Resort Dora checks into her room at CoCo View Resort and is looking forward to some exciting Caribbean diving. Which way to the water?
    • Dora meets Scuba Barbie Dora has met a dive buddy her own size. Scuba Barbie loves to dive but can Dora afford the price? The nice folks at Dockside Dive Center said Dora and Scuba Barbie can dive for free!! Whoooo, Hoooo.....let's go!!
    • Dora learns about office hours Dora notices that office hours on a Caribbean Island can be different from the office hours at home. I guess we'll go diving until the door opens!!

Dora has finally made it to a tropical dive site!! Dora went to the Flower Gardens National Marine Sanctuary for a 2-day trip on March 24th. The sanctuary is the northernmost natural coral reef in North America and is located about 125 miles offshore of the Texas/Louisiana border. Dora made the trip aboard the 100 foot liveaboard, M/V Fling. See her photo log for some of her underwater encounters.
