Finally, we saw a bear a bit closer than last time!
While we were driving on the Moose-Wilson Road in the Grand Teton National Park, we came past the pullout at N 43°39'15.2" W 110°44'16.1". There were some cars standing there, and people were looking with their binoculars to the other side of the river. Something was hiding in the bushes. After 5 minutes of waiting, it walked to the river and we saw it: a bear! It was swimming in the water and then it started playing with a stick, like a cub, even though it was already quite a big animal. We wern't sure what bear it was: it had a nose like a grizzly and the ears of a black bear... We watched it for about 10 minutes and took a lot of pictures. In some of them, I also put the TB to prove that it actually saw the bear as well.
We showed our footage to a ranger the next day and he said that it's a tough one. It has the features of both, grizzly and black bear. However, he said it's most likely a 2 year old black bear with brown fur. Just the first season without its mom.
