Here is my log from the cache I found this TB in:

1st to log??? Does that count for anything, no I guess not.

I got a call from WalruZ alerting me to this cache. I was on my way home from CSUH and then to pick up RaySpaz. I headed str8 towards this area, not quite sure exactly where to go. I called ThumperSpaz to get the coords, and a little MapQuest help. She gave me the info I needed, and I was off.

I ended up parking in a housing complex at the end of Thornton, East of Paseo Padre. (I didn't notice till later that it said "No Trail Parking") Turns out there were better places I could have parked. If I had parked near my cache "Isherwood Staging Area" it would have been a nice flat walk just about .25 mile.

For the more adventurous you can try parking at Puttenham Way and Paseo Padre. You will then have to "illegally" cross Paseo Padre to get to the West side of the Alameda Creek Trail. I noticed an area on the creekside of this trail where the rocks were paved over. It is obvious that other people have used this as a way to cross the creek. Once down by the creek bed there is a small dam of sorts that was easy to cross, hoping stone to stone. Then Up the East side of the creek and your practicly there.

There is a small open gate that goes from this part of Alameda Creek Trail into Quarry Lakes Park. Once I reached the area of the cache site I saw where I thought the cache might be. instead of looking there I went to where my GPSR took me. It turns out I should have trusted my instinct. I have posted my coords along with this log.

It was a very nice cache container, but I think it could use some camo tape. I had left mine in the car or I would have went to town.

Thanks for the afternoon distraction to my already busy day. I had fun.
