This is my first Trackable. I have a large goal for this, but I figure for my first one, go big or go home!
My grandfather (Ernest Harold Beddall) was born and raised in England. As an adult, he came to Canada and met my grandmother, and started our family. When grandma passed, he moved back to England. There he passed and was buried.
None of the family here has ever seen his gravestone. He is burried in Warrington Cemetery in Warrington England (Manchester Rd, WA1 3BG). Grave number Dissenters E 414. His stone will show his name, Ernest Harold Beddall, born Oct 8, 1925 and passed away Feb 24, 1998.
We know that he shares this plot with his brother, so he may also be on the stone, or they could have two separate stones. His brothers name was Walter Beddall, born 1897 (month and day unknown to us) and passed on April 23, 1929.
My goal for this coin is to travel to England and visit grandpa for all the family here who can't. I am hoping someone can take a picture of the coin with grandpa's stone, and then ship the coin back to us (postage will be gladly covered).
I know this is going to take years, but we're hoping to have a keepsake of something that went to see grandpa on our behalf.
Thanks to all who help to complete this mission for us!
This coin was found at my very first FTF in Welland, Ontario. Thanks to JWID for the gift!
The other side of the coin (not pictured here because it has the code on it) says "Keepers of Ontario's Caches" "Canada Geese". And has a picture of 2 Canadian geese flying.
