Escargot has accomplished his goal to visit France and now he is ready to return to his owners, "The Geo Idiots", in Farmington, Utah, U.S.A. Our Whatzit? cache (GC1HYKB) would be great...or anywhere along the Wasatch Front, Salt Lake City area would also be wonderful. Thanks to everyone for their help!!!

Escargot is one of 4 Travel Bugs launched for each of our 4 children who have lived in France (Escargot), Brasil (Futebol), Japan (Taiko) and New Jersey (Nuevo Jersey). We will release them at about the same time and watch to see which one can reach its destination and return the quickest. Please take and post photos along the way and THANKS! for helping. THE SNAIL WINS AGAIN!!! We retrieved Escargot, our own traveling bug, in the middle of the night (12:30am). He's home at last after 5 years and 2 weeks of adventures traveling to his goal in France and logging 16,236 miles (but there was also a side trip to California not logged.) Many thanks to all who helped him on his way and many, many thanks to spamandwaffle for bringing him to our own cache--right on our property. Hip-Hip-Hooray for the game of Geocaching and all those who play it!!!
The competitors: Futebol was last heard of in July of 2006 in Newfoundland, Taiko was last heard of in May of 2007 in California, and Nuevo Jersey is still going in Florida.

Found it in Big Bear Lake, CA. The cache was called Alley Cat Cache 2. We are from Utah and will return escargot to a cache there in two weeks.
