Due to his being a Therapy Dog, Blayze would like to visit patients all over the world. Please bing him to a hospital, a nursing home, a school, or anywhere else a therapy dog would bring a smile to someone. Grab a photo (but not one with the patient, for privacy reasons) and post it. Then help Blayze continue his mission around the world by releasing him in a new cache!
Blayze is a registered Therapy Dog. DNA testing shows that he is a St. Bernard-German Shepherd mix. He was born in 2014, and became a member of our family in 2016. He is a rescue, from a high-kill shelter. He was scheduled to be euthanized, but luckily evaded that fate. In 2017, he became an official Therapy Dog and visits various settings including hospitals, schools, nursing homes, airports, and libraries. He loves visiting children who have leukimia and other types of blood disorders and cancers. He loves helping elderly residents work on memory skills by visiting with them on a regular basis. He loves listening to children read to him. He loves working with kids with autism, helping them develop communication and social skills. He loves bringing comfort to stressed-out air travelers. He loves brining a moment of reprieve to stressed-out emergency operators. He simply LOVES his job. He is a good dog, who is giving back to society in every way he can!
