If you pick up a geocoin or travel bug, realize that someone has spent money, time, and effort to share a little geocaching fun with you. Please do the honorable thing and safeguard it from being lost at an event, at home, or in the bottom of a caching bag.
Please put it in a cache (any cache, even the one in which you found it) within a reasonable time. (Within two weeks, if possible.)
This is a replacement for my Signal Geocoin - Sept. 06, which is missing.
This consists of a photocopy of the coin's image, along with two metal washers glued inside a coin capsule to give it a nice weight and feel. I regret that it is a poor representation of the brilliant colors and craftsmanship of the original.
I especially liked the original coin because my birthday is in September, and although I haven't climbed any cliffs for travel bugs (yet), I do like going after them.
I still hope the original shows up some day, perhaps with tales of grand adventures.
