This small locket contains petals from a rose bush that grows on the property of a house that was featured on the television show, Paranormal State. This reality show featured a group of university students who investigated haunted places. The house the petals are from was part of an old coal mining community and like most coal mining communities, had its share of deaths and misery from mining accidents. The house was investigated and the owners were told there were many bodies under the ground trapped forever in the darkness. The house remains the site of paranormal activity.
We have sent out several travel bugs with lockets similar to this one, but they tend to disappear relatively quickly. We are not sure exactly why. Could cachers be simply keeping them and ignoring the rules for trackables? Or could something more nefarious be going on? If you take this travel bug, we ask that you please log it when you take it, visit it to caches you visit and then leave it someplace safely when you are tired of traveling with this uncomfortable memento of the fragility of life.
