I was always doodling, coloring, drawing, all sorts of stuff and even though my elementary teacher stomped on my dream of becoming an artist, my high school art teacher encouraged me. I needed an outside source who knew what they were doing to tell me I was good at it. It's a people-pleasing thing maybe. While I do not currently make "fine" art, I still do creative projects and have improved immensely over twenty-some years. My current favorites are stamp-carving and mixed media art.
I also learned it's okay for an adult to have a collection of toys and they don't all have to be standing in perfect order. A pile is okay. Keep being a kid at heart!
