Visited the cache at the old hospital at Annecy, France, during a short trip to the Alps. Unfortunately no space in the micro container to leave this TB, so it came back to London with me. Lots of history about the hospital on the cache page (in French), but the first couple of paras:
The first "General Hospital" was build at Annecy on the orders of the King to unify the various hospices which had been present in Annecy for hundreds of years. Construction of the General Hospital began in 1755 and was completed on 20 August 1758. It's location and history are linked to the community of Capuchins. The first Capuchin convent was built on this road in 1597.
