Current Goal

Blake the gnome's goal is to make it to The Gnome Reserve, a garden and tourist attraction at West Putford, near Bradworthy, Devon, England, a pastoral refuge for garden gnomes. Get some pictures taken in the reserve withe the residents.

And then make his way back home to his own garden in Great Falls, Montana. Of course he wants to meet other gnomes along the way, and have their pictures taken, he also wants to get pictures of him in your garden if you have one.

The reserve was established in 1979 by Ann Atkin. She established the reserve on a 4 acres site. The reserve holds more than 2,000 gnomes, and is included in the Guinness Book of World Records. The four acre Reserve is also home to model pixies. The area includes woodlands, a stream, pond, meadow and wildflower garden. Photographs are encouraged; and gnome hats and fishing rods are loaned to visitors free of charge so they can blend in. Gnomes sometimes go missing, like Blake they are probably taking a vacation and will return home someday. At least thats the stories we hear.
