Current Goal

This trackable has the goal to circulate more than five years and to be moved by at least 25 cachers. That is a rate of five drops per year for five years, or a drop every 73 days.  As of 9-Feb-21 it had survived for 1.8 years and had been moved by 6 cachers, for an average release every 112 days.

No permission is needed to leave the U.S.  While in the U.S., please drop it in a Premium Member only OR a rural cache near a busy trail or road. Do not place it in an urban cache or abandon it at a caching event where there is no security.  Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean, protects the number and prevents tangling with other items.  Otherwise, take the trackable anywhere you wish.

About This Item

The Florida Keys are a string of tropical islands stretching about 120 miles off the southern tip of the U.S. state of Florida, between the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. They’re known as a destination for fishing, boating, snorkeling and scuba diving. The southernmost city of Key West is famous for Duval Street’s many bars, Mallory Square’s nightly Sunset Celebration and the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum. Each one of this Key series of travel bugs are named for one of the Florida Key islands over which US Hwy 1 travels.

Zapped!!! This needs to be moved somewhere else! I got shocked big time. Don't touch the metal. I may go back and move it myself. I was too "shocked" to do it when I found it.

Wow! I met a new friend and he brought me up here on his quad and we had to find this geocache for sure. What absolutely beautiful views the weather was great the ride was wonderful. Thank you so much for this.

Also the decoy fooled me too, but I set my geosense in motion and was able to find this.

Nice hike from my camping spot 1/4 mi down. I was checking out more interesting roots than I should have and almost gave up. I spotted it on my way out. Turquoise Lake is beautiful too . Got a cache there also. Thanks for this.

Found while camping and hiking and caching with a few of my friends here at the lake. This was a lot harder than it should have been. It's in plain sight, ground level, not buried under that huge pile of a Rock fence. I'm giving you hints because I don't want you to have to run into a snake. I grabbed this TB from here. Thx.
