SSG SCHMIDT

Metal AMERICAN FLAG, US ARMY PATCH and STAFF SARGEANT attached to a travel bug dog tag. This bug is a small token of gratitude to commemorate and thank Dufer for 14 years of military service mostly as a Military Policeman resulting in him now being a disabled Veteran.

Camped in the Swan Creek camp ground with the kids and relatives; one of our favorite close to home spots. The kids had a blast finding the cache and tooling around in the woods. We have family visiting this weekend and we intend to place SSG Schmidt, with them, this coming weekend in a new, but close spot. It will be especially meaningful since our Brother is currently serving in Iraq with the USAF. We are proud of him and our country.

I picked up Sarg at 'RestArea' GC7BA8 in Oregon. I will cut some new TDY orders and assign him to a new post. Thanks for the service. Its just words but there is a lot of soul behind them. I was lucky during my time and made it out ok. Thank you and all of the vets.
