I maintain records on my trackables. They have the goal to circulate more than five years and to be moved by at least 25 cachers. That is a target rate of five drops per year for five years, or a drop every 73 days. The average drop rate of my trackables in the US is 115 days, in Europe it is 65 days. As of 31-May-22 this one has survived for 2.7 years and had been moved by 10 cachers, for an average drop every 99 days. Please keep it moving!

No permission is needed to leave the U.S. While in the U.S., please drop it in a Premium Member only OR a rural cache near a busy trail or road. Do not place it in an urban cache or abandon it at a caching event where there is no security. Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean and dry, protects the number and prevents tangling with other items. Otherwise, take the trackable anywhere you wish.

This is one of a series of large beads obtained from different places and converted into travel bugs. They are named Texas towns with interesting names or histories.

Spiller's Store is at the intersection of Farm roads 977 and 1119, ten miles south of Centerville in southern Leon County. It was probably named for a store run by the Spiller family at the site and was founded in the 1870s. A school taught by A. S. Spiller was operating in the community by the 1870s. In 1907 the school was called Pleasant Grove School, and Pleasant Grove Cemetery was located nearby. By 1940 the school was no longer in operation, and Spiller's Store had a cemetery and scattered dwellings. In 1972 the community had two cemeteries and scattered dwellings. It was still listed on state highway maps in 1990.
