13 cachers from Finland at the Yorkshire Mega
13 cachers from Finland
I, Hanna32 was the team leader. I wanted to give something to the cachers who came with me to the Yorkshire Mega. I have a lovely dachshund named Kyosti who comes caching with me sometimes. I wanted to meet my friends from Instagram and do some caching while visiting Leeds. Thats how I heard about the Yorkshire Mega. I decided that I needed to be there, and here I am! I had some great people coming with me on this trip. Here is something about them:
AiLiLe: Started geocaching in 2016. This is her 4th Mega attended and her first one abroad.
Dyynia: Heard about geocaching from her co-workers and learned more by reading about it.
Filtaltti: Loves caches with great places or some historical value. She has a geodog, a white terrier who is always ready to join on caching journeys.
Jakaranda: Was traveling in Lapland with 20 other people, one of whom was a geocacher. The group members saw what the geocacher was doing and she became interested.
Joriini: Owned a GPS-device and discovered that it could be used for geocaching, tried it out, and liked it. She has been to 7 Finnish Megas.
Koir4k4averi: Loves great views, especially English landscapes, and has been reading James Herriot's books. Usually geocaches by bicycle.
kyrasantae: Has been to several Megas (in Finland and abroad) and helped with English translation for the Midnight Sun Geocaching Mega event in Lapland. Among her favourite caches were the night caches at Mega Sweden FAD 2017.
Mrs & Ton Eligarf: Started geocaching in 2007. The couple owns 36 caches. They have geocached in Jersey, USA, and Canada. Their longest caching streak is over 500 days. They have attended all 9 Mega events in Finland so far, and Yorkshire is their 11th overall.
Neofytos: Appreciates caches that are hidden in plain sight. Everybody walks by them but only cachers can see what's there. He has been to 5 other Megas.
Pilke: Fondly remembers the time she found 100 caches in a day. She was among a group of 22 people who went by bus to a Mega in France.
She66: Started geocaching with co-workers. She loves to challenge herself - if there are many DNF logs, she likes to go there herself and usually finds it!
