Following the historical route of Gen. Haller's Blue Army, the mission of this coin is to visit France and finally come back to Poland
In 2018 we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Poland's sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918 from the German, Austrian and Russian Empires. Following the partitions in the late 18th century, Polish state ceased to exist for 123 years. But, as we sing in Polish national anthem, "Poland has not yet perished, so long as we still live", and at the end of World War I, the destruction of the neighbouring powers allowed the country to reemerge.
