Current Goal

Baanaby has been sailing the waters around New Zealand for many years and managed to lose an eye and a front foot, plus pick up a nasty scar, from all the fighting he's been doing against other pirates. Having found the Lost Treasure of Mary Hyde he'd like to see the World and he and his trusty parrot, Cobra, want to search for booty all around the Seven Seas. But he needs your help. In his own words:

"Blistering baanacles! Me and me trusty parrot, Cobra, want to travel to pirate-themed caches, old sailing ships and palm-lined sandy beaches all around the World, before returning home to graze in the lush green fields near Upper Hutt, New Zealand. Can ewe please help us? Wether ewe can or not, please move us from cache to cache quickly. Thank ewe!"

Baanaby would love to have photos of the special places he visits, but being a pirate he doesn't actually have a camera (or a smart phone for that matter) so he needs your help as he is unable to take selfies. Can you please take some photos for him, with him in the shot of course, and post them with your trackable log entry?

About This Item

Baanaby the Pirate Sheep

My daughter and granddaughter just LOVE sheep, and Mrs B and I are very fond of them too. Baanaby was designed and painted by my daughter and if and when he finally returns to New Zealand after his travels around the world I will be retiring him to safe-keeping with my granddaughter. So PLEASE don't keep him for yourself, he belongs to her . Please also take and upload some photos of Baanaby with your log showing places that he visits, so my granddaughter can follow his progress. Thank you.

Retrieve It from a Cache 3/24/2018 Flowerydaze retrieved it from Fence Crossing - Bright's Farm Walk (Kapiti) North Island, New Zealand   Visit Log

Retrieved from the Fence Crossing and brought to our home on the Kapiti Coast for a short visit. It seemed appropriate, given his wish to visit palm-lined sandy beaches, to take him for a walk along Paraparaumu beach. Sadly, we have no palm trees, but we have lots of Norfolk Pines. We sat together on Fish'n'chip hill for a while, wishing for a nice sunset. But, because it was actually pouring with rain, we did not get one. (big sigh!). Onwards and upwards then, seeking more adventures.
