Current Goal

He wants to tour the world to let people know he can mix in society without getting into any sort of trouble. He wants to be cheeky and have his photo taken outside police stations and prisons around the world, maybe even Alcatraz. Shake his hand firmly to send him on his way, and he may just sing for you. (Unfortunately, due to spending too much time in the cold outdoors, Rocky has lost his singing voice and can no longer give his rendition of Jailhouse Rock!)

About This Item

Rocky. (An innocent hamster)

Locked up for a crime he didn’t commit, Rocky spent 5 years in Preston Prison, England trying to clear his name. The authorities don’t believe his pleas of innocence so the time has come for him to make a break, and get out of jail. On the night of 26 August 2004 he sneaked out of his cell (under the door, he’s so small!), dodged past Prison Officers, and finally scaled the walls. He quickly made his way north to hide in 'canal side stroll' cache where he wants to lay low for a few days before commencing his travels.

  • Rocky at Horfield Prison, Bristol It's actually against the law to take photo's outside a prison....As was pointed out to me by one of the wardens just after I took the photo. We almost ended up inside !

Took pity on Rocky ( Rocky has always been one of my favourite films)
He sang so nicely for me he is trying to redeem himself!!!!
Molly has taken a big interest in him, (she does like her toys) I'll have to put him safely out of her way.

Picked up this bug today, he will be moved to a brand new cache very soon called the travel bug departure/arrival lounge. As the name suggests, it is next door to an airport for easy access to world travel.
We actually met before, i placed a tb in the tb prison and saw him then.
