We dropped several personal TBs and special coins we carry for friends in our travels into the event cache for everyone to enjoy and discover. Those 8 have now been recovered. We let another 4-5 go that we had recently picked up in local caches. In addition to those, 16 racers were left behind that we as event hosts now have the responsibility to get out on the road. THIS is one of them!

WOW! what a chore just to log them all and the hard part is yet to come - finding a place to put them all! We have calls out to several other local cachers to take some of them off of our hands and help get them moving. At one point there were physically over 65 TBs in the event cache, with another 30+ that visited, so these TBs had a jolly good time visiting! We managed to get the tracking numbers from all but 2 of those that were physically in the cache and will publish that list for all to discover. That has taken time.

Additionally, we had to enter the tracking numbers from the Race Registration Login Sheet and proof them (by literally entering the ID# and make sure it worked on the web) for a total of FORTY TWO racers – which then had to be sent to GCCO - of which 16 are now also being logged, recovered and carried by us - as mentioned above. Two of them are ours – they will be the last ones we worry about, the “Race” truly does not mean a whole lot to us, just the fun of doing it, so if ours bring up the rear, we will still enjoy watching YOURS out in the lead!

Please be patient with us as we get them moving. Understand this. There is very limited caching and movement of TBs this time of year in this area so many of them we may just hang on to for a few weeks, visiting them to local caches as we move around the Delta Montrose area geocaching. Katie Jo (Ms. kekj) will be going to Phoenix AZ in mid March and she will take the remainder down with her. In the long run, that will likely get more miles on them quicker than anything we do locally as geocaching is at its peak down there this time of year. We know several good TB hotels to drop them in and would hope they will be picked up quickly.

Thanks for allowing us to care for your TB! TEAM kekj

p.s. We have SPECIAL PLANS for this one!

Side note. WE (kekj) grabbed this "item" as SWAG - one of a matched set - from GCQ186 ▼ Lost My Cache - on 8-8-14. They were way cool so we took them to an event the week following and publicly threatened to USE them on jake92 (the now current owner of the set) due to the difficulty to find of many of his hides. A few weeks later we gave them to jake92 - for both his and our safety. HE has now turned the pistols into TBs! We are PRIVILEGED to be the first to carry this neat TB and all the memories it brings back! THANKS BOB, didn't get jaked this time!
