About This Item

An actual and official bowling pin, although we don't know whether it is a ten pin pin or a duck pin pin. Pin. (sorry, we couldn't resist!) This is another brother to our other bowling pin trackables,  Pinhead [TBT060] and to  our other TB, "Not Another Pinhead (TBRTV5), "Yet Another Pinhead (https://coord.info/TBQ49Z). On another interesting note, the pin is coated with Surlyn, a specialized resin made by Dupont that is also used in the manufacture of snowshoes, golf balls, golf cart, motorcycles and cosmetics containers. Look. It is strange. We know that. Just go with it!

Pinhead, launched in 2006, went missing somewhere between Colorado & Florida in June of 2007.

Not Another Pinhead,  also launched in 2006, Went missing near Hessen, Germany in Decemeber of that same year.

 Yet Another Pinhead, launched 23 July 2011 at the Maryland Geocaching Society's Summer Picnic (the first one we ever attended), has been our most successful thus far, having travelled over 38, 000 miles at the time of this writing, and still active, logged two days ago somewhere in New York.

One of them went to a wedding, there are photos, but you'll have to go through them to see which one.

    The Wolf Pack of the Southern Tier of NY was hunting in the area today as part of an E*P*I*C three day adventure on the hunt way out to Long Island via NYC........and then on to Rhode Island via an auto ferry 😁! Of course we only hunt for geocache smileys 😉!

    I saw this one safe and sound in the cache, but just like almost everyone else, we'll just be logging a "discover" on it due to it's size 😛! I don't go to many events where I might pass it along, and our TB hotels cannot accommodate a "guest" of this girth 😉😁🤡!
