Aussie Koala is super keen to move around the globe as fast as fast as possible!

 

Then one day return to back to Australia for some fresh eucalyptus tree leaves :)

 

About This Item

The koala is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia.

The koala is found in coastal areas of Australia's eastern and southern regions, inhabiting Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.

The word koala comes from the "Dharug gula", meaning no water. 
It was at one time thought, since the animals were not observed to come down from trees often, that they were able to survive without drinking. 

However the leaves of the eucalyptus tree have a high water content, so the koala does not need to drink often. Thus the notion that koalas do not need to drink water at all was shown to be a myth!

I am pleased to start this koala on its journey, to northern NSW, avoiding the bush fires that are ravaging its habitat, to my home in Perth, Western Australia and then to New Zealand next month.
