To visit Bear (Bere) Island in Ireland and also the Sheep's Head cache very close to Bear Island. Waypoint GCNB73.

About This Item

I have always wanted to go to Ireland. Being half irish, I guess it has helped me in my desire to someday spend a lot of time in Ireland. My dog bear was my best friend of all time and also my travelling buddy. Bear has been gone now for almost three years but I still have a dream of the both of us going to Ireland. Please help us to get there. I would like our bug to go to Bear Island for a picture on the island next to the Bear Island sign, then go to the nearby Sheep's Head cache and from there return home to Lakeport, California.

If you know it, please say the Irish Blessing for us. I may not hear it, but I'll know it.

    I kept this for a long time hoping to bring it somewhere to the south-west. But sadly the opportunity did not arise, and the bear has now checked in to a picturesque spot on the banks of the Dargle, overlooked by Maulin mountain. I hope someone can help it on its way towards Cork and Kerry.

    I found this with my little dog this afternoon - I'll bring it back to Ireland at the weekend and we'll see how near to Bere Island it gets this time.

    We had all the best intentions of helping it on its way to BERE island.....but failed due to change in plans.

    We picked this travel bug up with the intention of going on to Sheeps Head the following day to help complete the mission - are plans changed however and now the bear has come back to the UK....not bere island...sorry- we will send it on its way though, maybe a bear related place!!
