This little bug’s main goal is to make you smile and have a good memory of someone you love.
Another goal for Austin’s Travel Bug is to make it to Rocky Mountain National Park. That is one of his favorite places to visit.
Austin is my young grandson. At the time of this story he was barely 4years old. Like many 4 year olds, he is fascinated by many things. I purchased a couple of these little flashlights and we were playing with them one night. He naturally was infatuated with the flashlight and we both had a wonderful time playing with them. That evening, playing with Austin and a pair of little flashlights will always be one of my precious memories. Austin was so infatuated with his little flashlight that he just had to take it home. Knowing how bad he wanted it, I argued with him about it being mine. Naturally I had no intentions of not letting him have it. It was very cute and entertaining to see how he could talk Pawpaw of that flashlight.
The goal of this little travel bug is to find you and get a story from whoever finds it. If you have a grandchild, I know that you have a fun story. If you aren’t old enough to have grandchildren, then you have grandparents. Tell me a favorite story of a time you had with a grandparent. I hope that you have good memories and many grandparent stories.
Only a grandparent knows the joy of what it means to be a grandparent. Share your story, come back and visit Austin’s Travel Bug Log and see what others have shared. Please fill out the log with a grandparent story, whether you are the grandparent or the grandchild. Be as brief or as longwinded as you wish. Please keep Austin’s Travel Bug moving, Travel Bugs are not meant to stay in one place. If you wish to post a grandparent/grandchild picture go ahead. We all know that grandmother’s especially love to show off pictures of grandchildren.

This is our four-year-old granddaughter, Lydia, and she also loves flashlights. It was her favorite thing she got in Easter basket last year. From that time forward, she has had to have a flashlight, even though those batteries are killers to keep fresh. She was quite pleased to see Austin's! She's partial to the "Hello Kitty" ones. 🙂
