This item was placed by us, a young couple on our first cross-country road trip. There were originally 5 such jars, each containing a travel bug, two laminated pictures of us, and a list of the 50 states. The mission of this item is to travel to each state. The idea was to disperse them as widely as possible so that, on a rainy day somewhere down the road, we can pull up the location of one and track it to some remote location of the U.S. which we might not get to see otherwise. Please keep us posted on the location and condition of these jars, should they require any maintenance or other attention. Thank you for helping us in our adventure!

We vere pleased to have the Travel Bug, but now it is time to move om.
It is now at Asserbo Slotsruin.
Asserbo Castle (Asserbo slot) - today Asserbo castle ruin - was founded by Bishop Absalon in the 12th century. He invited French Carthusian monks to inhabit it. The Castle was in the Hvide-lineage holdings, as Bishop Absalon was a Hvide.
Asserbo castle was in the 16th-17th century hit by The Great Sand Drift and probably abandoned in the early 18th century. The palace was excavated in 1849 and ramparts were restored in 1972.

Sorry that it took (almost) forever to take the TB to a new cache. However, it is now safe and sound in Denmark.
