Found Big Cat & Little Cat cowering under a large bush alongside the bike path in Ojai, Calif. They looked tired and bored. I will take them on the road with me next week to a new and more interesting locale.

We had a great time with the TB travelers. They never shut up the whole time we were traveling. They wondered where they were going and we told them nowhere. But we did find our way to the Cottonwood Kilns. I have added a copule of pix of BCLCSH and their escorts. These lucky ones are my son-in-law Curtis and his son Jonathan, they were visiting from Prescott Valley, AZ...

  • Curtis and Jonathan The last of the great hunters
  • Cottonwood Charcoal Kilns As you can see the varments in the area have stolen the description plaque. I did get a pix of a plaque as we entered the area. Maybe you'll be able to read some history by blowing it up.

These two must have been really hungary when I found them. I brought them home and placed them on the counter top and put a stake out for supper. When I turned around all that was left was an old bone and a couple of cats with BIG smiles on their faces. I have pix and will try and get them on here soon. Still in the digital camera waiting for chemicals.

This was a great search. I had to walk around long enough to have someone come out and ask if I was surveying the area. I said no, I was searching for an ammo can. After saying that, I thought maybe I shouldn't have. The person who found me within range of the wind toys, told me that if I didn't have any luck at this spot, that I could move down the road about a 10th of a mile and there was plenty of stuff for me to look through. This guy was not a spoiler. I think he would have sent me to Mojave if I couldn't find my cache.

This was a great experience and I had a lot of fun... I'm meeting a friend shortly and we are going to see if we can't get the cats located before they eat us out of house and home...

Thx... veenstv
