Vacationing in Maui with entire family to celebrate my retirement. Took daughter and 2 grandkids geocaching and were excited to find the TravelBug at Maui Rocks. While we were searching for it, a couple were going back and forth from the beach to the parking area, lugging 2-3 fresh coconuts apiece, per trip. They were filthy and exhausted when they finished, and both groups were extremely interested in what the other group was up to. After we explained the fundamentals of geocaching, they explained they had found a large stash of recently dumped fresh coconuts, and were thrilled to be taking them home for consumption. We all had a great time sharing stories and wishing each other well. I have taken the TB back home with me to San Diego, and am contemplating an appropriate next hiding spot. I did take it with me on a fishing trip yesterday, hoping it would bring me a little good luck. Don't know how well I would have done without it, but did catch a nice legal halibut, and am attributing the success to the Maui Rocks TB. Hope it brings equivalent good luck to future discoverers. I will post the new hiding spot once it's re-planted.
