To be passed from champion to champion in glorious competitions!
The Michigan Geocaching Championship Belt
I wanted to create something totally unique and even revolutionary, okay maybe not that, but something that people will have fun with. As you can tell. this travel bug is not normal, not even normal for super-sized travel bugs. You see, this belt is to be played like they do in the WWF, meaning two or geocachers must have some kind of contest to determin the champion. If the current champion loses, he must allow the new champion to grab it from him and play someone else. Some can include pool, bowling, video games, drinking contests, sports bets, geocaching number trips (i.e. who has the most finds on a day trip), or be totally unique and come up with a different kind of game.
Here are the rules for the championship belt:
-
Log every succesful and failed title defense. Describe the contest, where the contest was held, who you faced. Scores and results would be awesome and pictures would be greatly appreciated!
-
Anyone with a GC.com account can play for the belt! It would be great to see people of all ages to enjoy this travel bug.
-
This belt MUST REMAIN IN MICHIGAN! Taking it out of the state would make it useless.
-
PLEASE! DO NOT JUST DUMP THIS TRAVEL BUG IN A CACHE OR EVENT! I would like to see this travel bug just be passed from geocacher to geocacher and a contest must be played! Have a contest for the belt at an event if you don't know many geocachers personally.
-
If you have been holding on the belt for too long, you may "relenquish" the belt to someone else and they will be declared the "default" champion. PLEASE, only do this if you don't have time to play any contests.
-
If you have succesfully defended your title three times or more, you may forfeit your title to a new champion to keep the belt from becoming stale. Just remember, you are going out on top!
-
When a new champion is declared, please post a picture of you showing off your belt! You are the champion and must let the world know it!
