The goal of "Dolphin Song" is mainly just to travel the world, but if you'd like you can take photos of it with anything dolphin-related. Be creative! :-) (I've attached a few for starters).
(Be sure to hide the tracking code when taking any pics with the trackable).
(Also, please don't "collect" this trackable, as that will take it out of circulation and spoil the fun. PLEASE do not take this travel bug unless you'll faithfully log it and take it to another cache. I can't tell you how many trackables I've released which have gone missing or stagnant, often after just being in one cache. Please respect the purpose of travel bugs / trackables. Thank you).
Continuing my theme of naming most of my trackables after songs, "The Promise (The Dolphin Song)" is a track from Olivia Newton-John's most successful album, "Physical," released in 1981. With the album selling more than 10 million copies, the title song also tied the existing record for most weeks (10) at number 1, sharing the slot with Debby Boone's "You Light Up My Life."
"The Promise (The Dolphin Song)," written by Newton-John herself, was the B-side of the "Physical" single. (I wonder how many young people even know what a B-side is, LOL). The song also features background sounds of ocean waves and dolphins themselves.
The following are the lyrics from the song:
"The Promise (The Dolphin Song)"
by Olivia Newton-John
See them play in the moonlight
Watch them dance in the sun
They're the children of freedom, every one
As they care for each other
With no question or course
They deserve to be treasured as a source of love
In their minds there are answers
And in time we will know
What the truth is about, oh we don't know
They have no room for hatred
Though they've suffered much pain
From the race we call human, who are afraid of love
If I can only help to right a wrong
With my dolphin song
Then I'll have done what I set out to do
If I can only make one man aware
One person care
Then I'll have done what I promised you
Let us hope it's not too late
And that we can amend
All the pain we have suffered on a friend
We were born with our freedom
Oh we were born with the truth
Then why do we abuse it
We could choose - to love, to love
