Traveling from cache to cache all over the world
This TB intends to divulge the Siglas (acronyms) Poveiras. The acronyms or "poveiras marks" are a form of "primitive proto-writing", it is a kind of a used system of simple visual communication in the Póvoa de Varzim (Portugal) during centuries, in special in the fishing classrooms, inherited of the Nordic countries as Britain and the Denmark and certainly deriving of the runic writing common used by the vikings.
Examples of its use are those that can be found in the table of the sacristia of some churches of this city as form of register of the marriage between families and here represented by this little wooden piece - a very partial representation of this tradition.
This cache, is inserted in the thematic of several caches and TB's on the 'Siglas Poveiras'.
