About This Item

The SCGA Challenge Stick

Welcome to the TB page for the SCGA Challenge Stick! The overall purpose of this stick is to draw cachers to the most challenging hides on the Space Coast. As you follow the logs for this stick, you'll find that the Space Coast is bristling with caches that take you farther than you knew you could go. We fully expect this stick to acquire mud stains, blood stains, thorn scars, alligator teeth marks and other, more nefarious indicators of its travels. Hopefully you'll survive long enough to log it! When you find the SCGA Challenge Stick, give yourself a well earned pat on the back, 'cuz you dang sure earned it! Take the stick home with you and carve your caching nickname onto it, using small letters so others can "sign" it. Then hide it at another challenging Space Coast cache. If you found this stick, feel free to wander about with it as you wish, taking lots of pics along the way. However, when you go to hide it, please keep it within the Space Coast. For the purpose of this stick, the Space Coast is defined as Brevard County north, as far as Volusia County, south as far as the Stuart/Jupiter area and West as far as the Lakeland area.

Because this stick is meant to represent cachers facing rather extreme challenges, we will not be allowing any "Discovered" logs. The only people allowed to log it are those who have found it.

Thanx!

Thanks Team MollyNoodles for getting the Challenge Stick back in play. I am honored to have it in my possession. My carving skills are woefully inept so I will mark the stick in some other fashion.

For everyone watching this trackable, I will be creating a difficult cache soon so stay tuned, keep your GPSr charged and make sure your geomobile has a full tank of gas.

Our names have now been carved on the stick and it is currently on display at the Space Coast Geocaching store. It will remain there until July 6th when it will make an appearance at the SCGA's 6th Annual Geo-versary Event. It will then be dropped into a cache soon after the weekend event and will be up for grabs again. Team MollyNoodles will hand over the stick honors to the next lucky owner(s). Come by the store to get a rare glimpse of the SCGA Challenge Stick before it goes into hiding again.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 6/8/2013 RamenNoodles grabbed it   Visit Log

After we got back home from retrieving the stick from "Use Your Geosenses to Get Sidetracked", we stood out in the rain taking pictures with our friends Team MollyMap with the stick. TMM quickly logged the retrieval from the cache and we are now grabbing it from them to show co-ownership as Team MollyNoodles. It is an honor be in temporary possession of the stick and an honor to have gone after it with them. We are now in the process of deciding how to carve our name onto the stick. Thank you SCGA for creating this challenge!
