About This Item

Tech-Bee

This describtion of this bee I copied from the sister bee's page:

"As one of the world’s rarest insects, there are normally only two places that Tech-Bees (Apis pecuniam mittat) can be found, Scotland and Estonia, but rumours of a large swarm moving around Northern France, England  and Wales have recently been reported. At this time the location of the swarm is being followed and is traveling towards Northern France.

"Using their behaviour pattern over the last few weeks it is predicted that on the 14th July the swarm will be very close to Dunkirk and you will be able to see these special insects close to N51 02.263 E002 24.402. By sheer coincidence these are the exact coordinates of the GeoNord Mega Event!

"A close relation of the Western Honey Bee, Apis mellifera, there are only two physical ways to tell the difference between the bees. The first is is to examine the wings very closely, on the Tech-Bee wings you will see what appears to be printed circuit board. The other difference is that the Tech-Bee is physically larger than its cousin.

"Behaviour wise the Apis pecuniam mittat is very different to its close relative. The Tech-Bee is the only bee that starts in a swarm (maximum size 200 bees) and then individuals fly off to live a solitary nomadic life traveling from small box to small box around the world. The Tech-Bee is the only bee known to actively seek out human companionship and never uses its sting."
