Current Goal

DESTINATION - NORTHWEST FLORIDA (click here)
After traveling for almost 5 years and distance equal to a trip around the world, he finally achieved his dream of visiting his cousin in Berlin New Hampshire on 9 SEP 2006.  From New Hampshire it took him another 19 months to return to his Air Force buddies near Eglin AFB, Florida.

About This Item

Bullseye Headed North

Bullseye spent most of 2005 recuperating from a traumatic leg amputation that nearly killed him but he is determined to complete his quest.

This is a mini-beanie Disney burro from out of a cereal box (I guess). Got him from Pretzel cache in Florida and 29 kind geocachers helped him fulfill his life long dream of visiting his cousin Bullwinkle in northern New Hampshire.  He is now trying to return to Northwest Florida to meet his US Air Force buddies at a cache near Eglin Air Force Base, FL.(CLICK HERE).

Was headed for the original Upper Ammonoosuc (CLICK HERE)  but wasted so much time enroute that the original bought the farm. Bullseye has finally made it to a replacement.

Of the six travel bugs I released in the fall of 2001 this is the only one still in circulation.

I selected Berlin, NH as Bullseye's northern destination because I do the state's annual moose census from the Berlin airport,  using Cessna 337 Skymaster aircraft equipped with a thermal imaging camera.

Discovered It 9/15/2023 MiriCach discovered it   Visit Log

TL;DR: We don't have the trackable (and feel sorry for you if it means it is still missing), but stumbled upon its discovery code.

The story: I discovered this trackable/coin when I cracked the cache "Msportis Coinlihaus der 2." and then was able to reverse-engineer some Coins/TBs of the owner Msporti as well. By pure chance / luck while testing out possibilities for this I also came across this TB/coin. We hope that it's okay that we discover it, if not, feel free to delete this log. TFTC/TFTT 😉

WOW! That's quite a story and really something that this guy made it to the destination and back!! Thanks for sharing this TB, Bos - I enjoyed reading about his adventures... He deserves a retirement to a quiet spot on a sunny windowsill! 😁

After very long trip and lots of help Bullseye completes his odyssey and returns home a hero. Bos is so glad to see his old friend after, low these many years. Thanks to the many geocachers who made this splendid day come to fruition.

Like I mentioned in the "Great Central Florida Cache Raid" logs, we weren't always the stealthiest. Here we are, crouched in the bushes, and this couple comes upon us, and says, " What are you doing in there?" with big grins on their faces, and a GPSr in hand. So, FyrMdc and I got to chat with the Hobos and admire the handsome 3 legged horse. Now I have to hit the cache the Hobos hid in Tally!

Retrieve It from a Cache 2/12/2007 TheHobos retrieved it from Destination Disney World Florida   Visit Log

Bullseye had a delightful walk and visit at the Celebration walking trail cache. He met some cachers, one from Tallahassee, who very kindly offered to take him there, but we said maybe he better stay with us since we hope to see the owner soon. The other was Fyrmdc who is from Dayton, Ohio, and had a plane to catch. Bullseye did get to perch atop the cache and look at the goodies before BO picked him up to continue on to the Coronado hotel and the Pepper Market restaurant for a taste of a burrito. Hope to have photos soon.

Just wanted to say that Bullseye is well and safe. He is traveling the south part of FL and is now in Lakeland, FL just off of I-4 in Tiki Village. He is planning on coming to Crestview, or Walton Beach in the spring. If the owner would like us to place him sooner, down here in the Lakeland area we will do so, just let us know.

Well, Tiger Too said he was tired of carrying this TB in his pack and thought it should stay in a nice cache. We didn't realize he had it in his mouth and dropped it in the cache until we looked in after signing the log. Had to retrieve it and hope to have a chance to get to Ft Walton area this spring. 🤡
