PaxCache is a child of the American South --but has also spent a lot of time south of the American south in Central and, well, South America.
So, to honor South's of all kinds, keep this trackable moving roughly south; and, take a picture of you pointing south and put it in the comments. Extra points for creative pointing.
No stress if there are a few east or west detours (or, I suppose, northern detours if totally unavoidable) but this guy really wants to keep moving in a southerly direction.
Souths of All Kinds -- A Few Random Things to Check Out
For those of you interested in Southern Culture from America to Argentina, may I offer a few thoughts?
The American South
Many people have a vague idea of the "Deep South" but don't quite realize where that term comes from. Historically, the Deep South was the cotton-growing south (roughly South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana) and the rest of the South was either it's own thing (Florida and Texas) or tobacco-growing south (Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, etc.).
For those of you interested in a Deeper South --a progressive take on the American South by Atlanta-born former academic Pete Candler-- here is his very interesting Web site.
Random Thoughts South America
Latin America has a rich Classical Music tradition and one of the foremost researchers of that tradition is Patricia Caicedo. Check out her Web site HERE.
Many people think of Tango as being an Argentine thing and being frozen in time; but, there is a rich Tango tradition in Colombia, too, and there is new Tango being composed all the time. Check out this interesting link HERE.
Continuing in the music vein, for sheer over the top melodrama, passion, and utter sincerity, it is hard to beat Mexican mariachi music. And El Rey (The King) de los Mariachi is, of course, Vicente Fernández. Check him out HERE.

This is a braided metal wire with several mysterious coins that will bring unimaginably horrible luck to people that don't log and recache this trackable, a stainless steel washer, two little stainless steel tubes whose use is unknown to PaxCache, and a compass rose trackable tag with a code that you can log on www.geocaching.com .
Thanks for logging this trackable, recaching this trackable, and keeping the fun rolling.
