I would like this TB to travel. To see some of the places that Alfred Broben never got to see.
Alfred Broben was my great-uncle. He received a catastrophic brain injury while fighting in Flanders in 1917. Although returned to the UK for hospital treatment, he never fully recovered from his injuries. He lived until 1948, but spent the intervening 31 years in various hospitals and institutions. Unfortunately because of the way the rules were implemented at the time, the fact that he survived more than two years beyond the end of the war means that he was not treated as a war casualty, and is not listed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
Lest We Forget.

Your great-uncle will not be forgotten. The TB will now travel with me for a while, and I'll take a look at the other entries in peace and keep it until I find a worthy place to continue my journey.
Weiter geht es mit uns - wohin?
