This trackable started in Jim’s toolbox.
This is Jim's pliers. When you take this, if you are doing any home improvement projects, please take a picture and log it with the trackable, then pass it along to the next cache. So get to work and fix up your home! Remember, "Do it right".
Jim was my dad. He was a Korean war veteran who became a licensed electrician when he came back. He worked his way to being vice president of Coghlin Electrical Services company in Worcester, MA. My dad loved working on home improvement projects, whether it be a family member’s, a friend’s, or for our home. His motto was “Do it right.” Even on weekends, when he wasn’t sailing, he would be working on some home improvement. Some clever projects he worked on were a can/bottle chute that led to a barrel in the basement where the recyclables were collected, thus keeping the kitchen neat. He also added a laundry drop in the bathroom closet, so you could easily drop dirty clothes, towels, linens and have it land neatly in a laundry crate in the basement. He, along with my siblings and cousins, added a second floor to our Cape ranch and an extension to our Worcester home.
Jim passed away in 2019, and in honor of my dad I am making a ‘toolbox geocache' and will populate it with trackable ‘mini-tools’. The goals of these trackables will be to travel around, anywhere, gathering pictures of home improvement projects.
