Here we show you a geological feature of our country: the cliffs.
They are available in Germany, particularly on Rügen (Germany's largest island) and the ones you see here on Usedom, near the small town of Bansin, here they are 54m high.
In the pictures you can see our dogs at the foot of the cliff, on the cliffs (the little dots at the bottom of the sea are human) and a stone, called "BansinerWappenStein" ("Bansiner Coat of Arms Stone" ?).
These stone is so called because it is shown in the arms/flag of Bansin. At this boulder coastal decline was measured. The first time the boulder stone was discovered in 1908 in the cliff. Currently, the stone is already over 60 meters in the Baltic Sea, which is the island of Usedom is smaller in this area.
Here is a text copy of the cache, is described in some of the formation ....:
"The glaciers of the Weichselian before 20,000 years ago reached its greatest extent. The ice receded in stages and stayed for a short time on a line of complaints to Usedom. The tongues of the glacier formed during their retreat etc. the east coast of Rügen and the present landscape of Usedom. Due to numerous glacial movements, was built on the north-east and Usedom in the space thus Bansin, the very moving relief of a severe crush-moraine.
After the retreat of the glaciers put an island between the remaining cores sedimentation processes. By erosion of these nuclei and deposits of their material was formed gradually a balance coast. Through the various exogenous forces (wind, water, gravity) since the outer coast is constantly changing. For example, wear off during a storm, the flood wave material. Due to the resulting surf rod grooves for the upper layers continuously.
The transformations that take place on the coast under the influence of the sea, were determined by assembly and disassembly. The cliffs provide the material (usually sand) that carries the flow near the coast. Each of the east island seeds, it is redeposited. The island cores originally came from even further against the sea than it is today, but were again removed at various points and as deposited into nearby creeks. Thus was formed the balance of the island of Usedom. This dynamic coastal processes on the Langen Berg are long pending."
