4:10 to Mt Gower: decided to go for this one after I grabbed the new cache down the road. Parked at the Mount Gower sign and walked bbezzdowntown to ground zero. Saw the cache right away, getting into it was another story. I broke a finger nail, my pen cap, and a stone trying to get into the log. Good thing I just grabbed a multipurpose tool as swag in the last cache, so I walked back to the car to get it. Even then I had to work at it. It was stuck in there tight. But, I was successful signed the log reassembled and returned to GZ

Sandbaby Murph: I was about 30 minutes behind Flagman this morning. As I pulled up to GZ a dude on his bike came up. So glad I saw him emerge as it was a very easy path down to GZ. Found the thing that looked out of place pretty quickly. How the heck did you get that here? Saw the access point and said to myself, I wish I had a XXX. Then I found the plug and retrieved just the XXX I wanted. Gained access to the cache and grabbed the polar bear inactivated TB. Dropped off a beanie baby. Had a bit of trouble getting things lined up and put back together but after a few minutes, I got it done. Excellent cache. You get a favorite point from me as well. I look forward to your next one.

Visited 12/30/2020 Pengwinldy took it to Spider Hole California - 16.75 miles  Visit Log

Spider Hole: Got up this morning and saw two new caches in Ramona. Decided to drive out to try for FTF. Got up and ready, checked the logs, no one claimed it yet. Got in the car and checked one more time. Flagman had logged this one. Should I make the 30 minute drive to GZ or go for one closer to home. Ah, what the heck? So I set off. Made it to GZ and something looked out of place. Tried to move it but it didn’t budge. Hmm. It still looked out of place. Then I knocked on it and it sounded hollow. I wonder. Tried something else and figured it out. Def gets a fave point from me! Then I found all that AWESOME swag! That was definitely worth the drive. Took a few things and added a few of my own, including dropping off a travel bug. Very nicely done! I’m looking forward to more of your hides!

4:10 to Woods Valley: Took a drive up to Bates Nut Farm and stopped quick for this one. Now that I’m home, got a notification of the new nearby cache that was published 20 minutes ago. So close.

Visited 12/28/2020 Pengwinldy took it to Its There California - 20.26 miles  Visit Log

It’s There: Quick grab in between the rain. Short walk from the car which was good because the ground was pretty muddy.

Visited 12/27/2020 Pengwinldy took it to Family Treasure California - 10.69 miles  Visit Log

Family Treasure: Happy Birthday! How’s that for lucky?Found this one pretty easily but the inside and log were wet and moldy. Did not touch anything inside, let aline sign the log. Did take a photo though. As I was walking back to the trail, I encountered the Natalielewis group. Today was a rare day as I ran into three different cachers/groups in three different places.

Visited 12/27/2020 Pengwinldy took it to HG11 Mag California - 10.21 miles  Visit Log

HG11 Mag: After seeing the PQ caching started on the other end of this series and having my FTF attempt at Code Blue scooped by D00rman this morning, I decided to head to the end of the trail and start there. It paid off as I was 😀😀FTF😀😀. Thanks for the cache. Did notice a sign on this end that said this trail is off limits. Just FYI.

Visited 12/27/2020 Pengwinldy took it to Code Blue California   Visit Log

Code Blue: WOW! There were like 20 caches published overnight. This was the closest to me so I grabbed my blue mask that Gramma Buck made for me and off I went. As I was looking at the first possible location, D00rman was on his way out. We exchanged distanced greetings and I continued my search. It is well hidden and he gave me a hint as he walked away. Thanks for the fun!
