My mission is to visit to the town of Nederland, in Boulder County, Colorado, USA.

This travelbug is the symbol of the bond the Dutch TB owner has with the state of Colorado ever since they were an exchange student there in the late '80's. Colorado is nicknamed the "Centennial State" because it became a state one century after the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. The state has immense natural beauty and is an awesome vacation destination. The continental climate gives you cold winters and hot summers. But keep an eye on the thermometer, because in Colorado the saying is: if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes.
Deze travelbug is het symbool van de band die de Nederlandse eigenaar heeft met de staat Colorado vanaf de tijd dat deze daar als uitwisselingsstudent woonde, eind jaren '80. De bijnaam van Colorado is Centennial (honderjarige) Staat, omdat het een eeuw na de ondertekening van de Amerikaanse onafhankelijkheidsverklaring een staat werd. De staat is van immense natuurlijke schoonheid en is een geweldige vakantiebestemming. Het landklimaat geeft koude winters en hete zomers. Maar houd de thermometer in de gaten, want in Colorado geldt: als je het weer niet fijn vindt, wacht vijf minuten.
