GCPC Hosts Race
Shorty's TB: JESSIE (GCPC TB Race!)
Scott's TB: SCOTT (GCPC TB Race!)
Taz's TB: MR. PICKLE (GCPC TB Race!)
The race will end when one reaches Scott & Shorty's porch cache, Get Off My Porch! (TB Hotel) or after 18 months since being released to head east, whichever happens first. At that time, points will be added and one will be declared a winner. The points are as follows:
- 1 point - every 100 miles (Jessie starting miles: 8984.9, Scott starting miles: 5191.3)
- 5 points - pictures taken with cachers (limit 5 points per cacher)
- 10 points - each new state visited
- 25 points - picture taken with a listener of the show (limit 25 points per listener)
- 50 points - picture taken with a past GCPC host (limit 50 points per past host)
- 100 points - arriving at the Porch Cache
The three hosts of The Geocaching Podcast, scottberks (Scott), TAZ427 (Chad), and shortyknits (Jessie), decided to have a little fun. Scott and Shorty are pretty competitive in nature and raced their TBs to Chad last year! Who won? Well, it depends on who you ask!
Now they're racing back and Chad has accepted the challenge as well. They will try to get back to where they started (Get Off My Porch!) or for 18 months, whichever happens first.
Scott's travel bug is attached to a Terminator Brain Chip. Jessie's travel bug (this one) is attached to a keychain of the character Jessie from Toy Story. Chad's travel bug is attached to Mr. Pickle.
